0 I'm one of those ex-smokers

I'm one of those ex-smokers out there like a lot of you are. I smoked for over 20 years until I finally gave it up about 11 months ago. I really enjoyed smoking and didn't want to quit. But my doctor said that if I didn't stop, I might have a heart attack, and besides, I was coughing all the time.. continually..and it wouldn't stop. I even coughed a couple of times so bad, that I couldn't catch my breath.. I think that scared me into quitting.

Anyhow, I have found that being around someone who smokes actually nauseates me. I promised myself when I quit, I would not be one of the ex-smokers that drive the smokers nuts about the smoke etc. Before I quit, I was all for the right to smoke and after I quit, I knew I had no right to judge others. However, I have found that being around smokers, being in a house with smokers, being somewhere someone has smoked... even outside.. actually makes me nauseated.

Of course, my father, who still smokes, thinks I'm nuts. Since I almost got sick when he smoked in the house, he's been nice enough to go outside to smoke. When he walks back in the house, I smell it and have to fan myself to avoid getting sick. I can't even go out back and talk to him outside while he smokes.

My family loves our TiVo. We do love television too. From what I know, Tivo premiere is a one remote, one HD interface that brings entertainment and fun with just one dive. TiVo polls its network, getting program information including description, regular and guest actors, directors, genres, whether programs are new or repeats and even identifying which one is in high definition. Information is updated daily so viewers always get the latest information.

I have 2 pots of Aloe wickensii and I have made posts about them before how they don't seem to grow even though they are in a large enough pot and I only water them occasionally and they get the south side full day sun. I even moved them into a different room trying to get them to grow..

Well I had this idea, I'll put them outside now that the temps are high and maybe that would cause them to grow. But when I went out to look at them, the one pot was completely empty. The only things that would come close to my house are dogs, chipmunks, moles, birds, and squirrels.

So which one do you think would take my plant? and if you have any suggestions for getting them to grow, I'll take that tip also..

0 The smelly hamster cage!

I'm sure there are other people out there that have had issues with the smelly hamster cage. I think I have finally found the solution to the problem. No more smell! I have tried so many things. This works the best.

I went to tractor supply and bought some Equine Fresh. Its all natural pine pellet bedding for horses. Then I got Greenfresh natural bedding. I only put the bedding in the corner he sleeps in and the pellets every where else. Presto! The odor is gone!

I clean up the corner that he pees in and once a week or so change the pellets in the rest of the cage. It works great and I don't have to use harsh detergents that don't get the smell out anyways. And the bedding and pellets will both last a long time and they aren't that expensive. I think I might have 10 bucks in it.

I have started a new job this week and as you can expect, my diet consisted of ready to eat food which was always fried. My work schedule leaves me so hungry after work that I would have to eat at fast food restaurants on my way home, and what can you expect from these restaurants? Greasy, carbohydrate laden food. I have bought a pair of golden hamsters and have been taking care of them for over a year. I really enjoyed taking care of them and even going to such length's to give them top quality food and clean water. They even have their own bathroom =). A couple of month's ago, my hamster have given birth to 5 babies. I was so happy because this is the first time I saw one that looks like a pink hairless wonder. However, after a few weeks I noticed the mother eating its own children. I was shocked in seeing this. Could anyone help on this? Its just so sad..

I'm running Win7 Pro on my desktop and have an EX490 with the factory 1TB hard drive and 2 1.5TB WD Green drives installed in it. Everything is connected to a gigabit network and all the cables are Cat5e as far as I can tell.

When I first set up the MSS I was seeing a file transfer speed of over 30MB/s according to Win7. There files were large multi gig movie and TV show files and there related media info packets for XBMC. However now a single day later everything has slow down to less than 10MB/s regardless of how small the file is.

There are three things that have changed since the intial fast speed and the current slow speed.

1.) I added the 2 1.5TB WD Green harddrives.
2.) I turned on folder duplication
3.) I scheduled and preformed a backup of my desktop.

The CPU is running at around 80% durning a transfer and memory is at 30%. My router is a Netgear WNR3500L.

I found a few threads that suggested a scalable solution delivers global deduplication for large data volumes without slowing performance, and I'm going to do that once my current transfer batch is finished.
