0 Dr. Jim and Bob's Fun & Helpful Health Advice

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of © Blue Shield of California for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Monday, I was home alone and decided to give it a try and get the hiccups myself. I thought it wouldn't hurt if nobody could see or talk to me. I tried burping on purpose; eating pepper sauce and leaning onto my stomach but it didn't work. Once I felt as I was going to get them, you know this pressure on my stomach but it was wrong. I thought that if I could get them I would try and record them and send it to the list! Then when I was loading the washing machine I let a loud one out! But it was only one! And I guess I have prevented others from coming cause I'm so used to! You know, I can't stand having the hiccups. Ever! But I wished to try.

I remember that when I was a child I usually got the hiccups from laughing too much. I would get them still now, but I've learned how to prevent them from coming or from going on. Thanks to Dr. Jim and Bob's Fun & Helpful Health Advice.

0 Charter Bus: New York's Answer to City Driving

In a report by Price Waterhouse Coopers released by the Atlantic in May, 2011, New York City ranked No. 1 among the World's 26 Best Cities for Business, Life and Innovation. New York City has been named the best in work flexibility, research universities, sports and leisure, commercial and cargo aircraft and cultural vibrancy. It ranked 2nd in international tourists and entrepreneurial environment. However, when surveyed about commute time, it ranked third to the last. There are many reasons to visit and tour this premier city, but because of its problems with traffic and parking, larger groups are recommended to take a charter bus. New York is not the nicest city to drive in if you are visiting, especially if you are a group riding three to four vehicles.

A charter bus driven by a professional will know the best places to park and how to navigate New York City's busy thoroughfares to maximize your group tour experience. Driving several vehicles when in New York City will not make sense as it is difficult to find a parking space and you are very likely to be issued an illegal parking ticket even on a Sunday or middle of the night.

The five boroughs of New York City are known for their cherished landmarks which are recognized all over the world as major American attractions. In the island of Manhattan, the most famous landmarks are the Empire State Building and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Central Park and Times Square are also found here. The World Trade Center site is another unforgettable landmark in New York.

The other four boroughs of New York have their own attractions, enough to overwhelm a new visitor. This is one of the reasons why it is best for a group to tour the city in a charter bus. New York offers a full breadth of attractions that can be virtually limitless, so it is best for first time visitors to join an organized group to maximize the pleasures of the experience.

What is awe-inspiring about New York City is its skyline. The panorama, widely recognizable in all the photos and features in world renowned publications can be breathtaking. From The 86th floor of the Empire State Building, the cityscape grandeur can be truly amazing. One can see how immense the city of New York is from 1,050 feet up. Or you can view the city from the Top of the Rock, at the 70th, 69th, or 67th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the home of NBC studios. Both buildings stay open after dark, so late viewers get the chance to see the shimmering City lights at night.

A walk through world-famous Times Square can also be exhilarating with all those bright lights and digital billboards. Visitors can choose to see their favorite stars and watch Broadway shows and Off-Broadway shows at reduced prices. There are also lots of shopping and novelties that will make one wish not to re-board the charter bus. New York is pedestrian-friendly, if not driver-friendly. Imagine a walk through Central Park, all 843 acres at the very heart of the city, with its rolling fields, tranquil bodies of water and walking trails.

0 Great Hotel Deals: How to Use the Web to Find the Best Prices

For many people vacations are a time to splurge. You work hard, and it's time to take the fruits of that hard work (money) and enjoy it for a little bit. But for me vacations are a time to save. And frankly, I think that gives me more opportunities to travel than many other people.

Everything on your vacation is going to be marked up a ton, so saving money isn't always that hard. Sometimes you can save a lot of money simply by asking for a lower price. It does actually happen.

Problems You'll Face

When most people book a hotel room, they don't think about how much they could be saving. They might use a price comparison website to compare the prices on different hotels, or make a bid that hotels have the option of filling. For many people, they look at the prices, what the hotel includes, and that's it. They do a minimal amount of research. Few people pay attention to reviews, and what comments people have had in the past, which is the biggest secret to finding great deals.

Another problem is that price comparison websites don't always show the lowest prices. They'll show the lowest prices that they can find, which can make a difference. Many people miss out on better deals because they don't book through the right website.

Finding High Quality Options

Personally, I don't think that enough people make their hotel reservations based on quality. I think people pay a lot more attention to price. And it's not just about the star rating of the hotel. You need to know how other people feel about their visits. How satisfied were they? Would they go again? Those are questions you need to know the answer to.

Basically what I'm saying is that you should always check the reviews before you visit. If you're going to pay a couple hundred dollars for a room (sometimes even thousands), then you should get to stay at a decent hotel. Most price comparison websites publish reviews about the hotels you're looking at, but sometimes not many people have commented on them. If not, Trip Advisor almost always has great reviews that you can check out before you book the hotel.

Check to see how satisfied other people were with their stay, and see if it's worth your time. Sometimes, you might get a better experience by staying at a cheaper 2 star hotel than you would at a more expensive 3 star option

How to Find the Best Deals

You need to do some price comparisons. However, there are hundreds of websites that will help you compare hotel prices. Some are better than others. Make sure to check out this article on WorldWidely.com that counts down the three best. It goes into great depth about different websites and what they do that helps you save money. 0 Freedom Trail Boston Coupons, Deals and Budget Tips - Save On Your Visit and Still Enjoy a Lobster!

Any budget-friendly visit to Boston's fantastic Freedom Trail should start at one of the two National Park Service Visitor Centers. The NPS personnel are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and they can help you plan your visit. All of what they provide is completely free (paid for by US taxpayers), although you may wish to make a small donation. Their free guided tours - which include the downtown Freedom Trail Stops, Faneuil Hall, Bunker Hill, the USS Constitution, and the USS Cassin Young - are well done, as good or better than anything you will pay for. And, the new Visitor Center at the base of Faneuil Hall is a showplace.

The National Park Service has also produced a free app that can be downloaded to an Android or iPhone/iPad device. Search Google Play or iTunes for "NPS Boston" to download the app. The app is very well done but it only covers "official" 16 Freedom Trail Stops - there is a lot more you will want to see. Use the NPS app in conjunction with the custom Google Map referenced below for a complete and free guide to everything.

Most of The Freedom Trail Stops are free, with exceptions of the Old South Meeting House, Old State House, and Paul Revere House. If visiting all three, purchase a Freedom Trail Ticket at any of these Stops. It will save about 20% over individual tickets. You can purchase it online, but there is little advantage to purchasing before you arrive.

Another option for visitors visiting the admission-charging Stops and other Boston-area attractions - including a tour from TheFreedomTrail.org, museums and a trolley or duck-boat tour, is a bundled package from Go Select.

Dining in Boston can be expensive, but bargains are available. Wonderful lunch deals are frequently offered, including lobster, in the Blackstone Block neighborhood. The Blackstone Block is on the walk between Faneuil Hall and the Paul Revere House in the North End. Several of the pubs mentioned in my Ezine article "Freedom Trail Restaurant Guide - Historic Restaurants," feature good, reasonably priced food in a colorful atmosphere.

There are many other good options in and around the North End (Boston's Little Italy and the location of the Paul Revere House, Old North Church and Copp's Hill Burying Ground). Several of my favorites include:

Galleria Umberto, for pizza-oriented lunch fare, is very popular with the locals. 289 Hanover Street (617) 227-5709.

La Summa, is one of the best for old world (not trendy) Italian. 30 Fleet St 617-523-9503. Check Restaurant.com for coupons.

Pizzeria Regina, Boston's oldest pizzeria, has been here since 1926. 11 1/2 Thacher Street. 617-227-0765.

There are two great Italian pastry shops on Hanover Street in the North End. Mikes Pastry at 300 Hanover Street is larger and has inside seating. Modern Pastry is at 257 Hanover Street. Both are fantastic.

Public transportation on the MBTA is the best way to get around. If your trip spans several days, consider a multi-day pass. Children 11 and under are free, and junior-high and high school students receive a 50% discount with ID and a special ticket.

There is a wonderful Water Shuttle ride across the inner harbor between Long Wharf (near Faneuil Hall and the Old State House) and the Charlestown Navy Yard (near the USS Constitution). It is part of the MBTA, and the single ride adult fare is $3.00, children are free. It is the F4 route and it is an inner harbor tour on the cheap - a great ride on a nice day.

Pick up a free CharlieCard at any transit station. The CharlieCard is a plastic reusable ticket for the MBTA. By showing the card, you receive discounts on attractions such as FreedomTrail.org tours, 2 for 1 admission at the Old State House, Boston Duck Tours, restaurant discounts (10% off at the Warren Tavern in Charlestown), and more. Search and download the "CharlieCard discount booklet" to learn more.

Enjoy your visit - The Freedom Trail is a special place!

0 An Affordable But Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience

Not only expensive honeymoons can assure an unforgettable experience, but also low budget ones but are well-planned. Sometimes, it's more about the creativity and spice of the whole honeymoon event! Don't hesitate to try it. Here's how you can do it.

First, know what you, as a couple, enjoy together. If there's an interest that match the both you, then explore it. Make it the whole theme of the honeymoon. Here are samples of low budget but exciting and out of the box honeymoon for you.

For example, both of you are adventurous. You like trying new things. Why not try camping out? You can prepare a good dinner with a twist. You can have it on candlelight and picnic will dinner theme. This will really be sweeter if you choose a time when the weather is friendly. So you can be able to gaze at the stars which is really something romantic.

You need not have it on a five star hotel or overseas. Usually, couples book their honeymoon earlier and then later spend it outside the country. Why not spend less by staying within the premises of your home? You must have been missing a certain spot within your area. Do a little research and consider a nearer venue so won't have or need to adjust with the environment, climate or culture.

Let's just say that the earlier point is not what you want because travelling is both your interest. Then let's try that. Travelling can be your option but try going to spots that do not require you to spend a lot of money. Those cheap destinations that will surely be worth your time and effort. According to a credible survey, these places are known to be cheap travel destinations: Greece, Mexico, Myanmar and Egypt. This will be something out of the usual fun and will give you something new to explore!

But most of all, it is best to take time and ask a Travel Specialist Agent to assist you with your plan. Surely, you will get a clear-cut view on what you have in mind and what's got to be better. If the main point will be having an affordable honeymoon, surely, your agent can give you good options to choose from. 0 Budget Travel: 5 Steps to Creating a Budget Friendly Vacation

Traveling during a down economy isn't easy. It's a big commitment, and there isn't a lot of certainty. This has caused many families to postpone or cancel their vacation plans altogether. Many of these families aren't aware of the ins and outs of budget travel, and that's unfortunate. If these families realized that they can make travel more affordable, then maybe they'd be able to take more time off.

That's what I wanted to go over in this article. If you're interested in saving money on a vacation, then follow these simple budget travel steps.

Find the right destination - If you haven't picked a destination, then pay special attention to cheap destinations. You don't have to plan the trip of a lifetime to get a good experience. Try looking for something close to home that many people don't think about. Get creative!
Pay attention to transportation - Calculate the cost of traveling to your destination. A flight, for example, can cost a family thousands whereas a car ride would cost less. Granted, you'll also have to balance that against the potential frustration of a long car ride. But, if it can save you a few hundred dollars, it might be worth it.
Select the right hotel - Look around the Internet for different hotel deals and see where you can find the lowest rates possible. You hear a lot of horror stories about cheap hotels, but I really don't have any. Even the cheap hotels I've stayed in have been satisfactory. But pay attention to the reviews anyway, since most price comparison websites show them. If you can find a cheap hotel that people have been satisfied with in the past, then it might be the diamond in the rough you're looking for.
Make a Light, and Cheap Schedule - Some of the most enjoyable vacations are the ones where you don't do much. When you're traveling on a budget, the last thing you want to do is cram your vacation full of activities. Schedule some fun stuff, but don't overdo it. Not only will you be exhausted, you'll also spend more money. Think of free time in both senses of the word (the do what you want sense and the doesn't cost you anything sense)
Plan your meals ahead of time - Think of a college student living in an apartment. How do they save money on food? Do they eat out all the time or do they go to the store and make their own meals? Obviously, they do the second one, and you can do the same thing during your vacation. This may sound like nonsense, but a family of four can actually save $150-$200 just by planning their meals.

What if you want to save even more money? You might be interested in a free ebook offered at WorldWidely.com. It goes over everything budget travel and can help you save even more money. Click here to get your free copy.

0 Planning a Memorable But Cheap Holiday

I'm sure you have dreamed about taking that perfect vacation. You've thought about traveling to exotic countries or considered taking a month or two from work to go backpacking. While it might not be possible to travel around the world or be away from work for more than 2 weeks because of time or financial constraints, it doesn't mean you can't have a great vacation. There are several things you can do to have a cheap holiday that's both satisfying and memorable.

• Look for cheap flights: With patience and careful planning, you can score some affordable tickets. Regularly check travel websites or an airline's homepage for special deals. This might mean you'll be booking your flight well in advance or you'll be traveling at the last minute, but the savings you'll get are amazing. Traveling during the off-season also means big savings.

• Learn to pack and travel light: If you're only going away for a few days, use a backpack or any hand luggage. Just bring the essentials and leave behind non-essential items like a hair dryer. You'll save a lot of time and money if you don't have to check-in or pay the baggage fee.

• Eat where the locals eat: Food is one of the biggest expenses a person makes when on holiday. Eating out can set you back a pretty penny, unless you eat where the locals do. Ask where the best local restaurant is and you'll eat well during your cheap holiday.

• Do your research and look for places you can go to for free: Before deciding on where you want to go, Google it and search for places and activities that you can go to for free or for a minimal fee. For example, look for free museums, parks, organic markets or open air performances.

• Go to the beach: This is a great place to go if you want to stretch your budget. You don't need to spend money to go sunbathing, read, play beach volleyball, swim or build a sand castle.

• Stay alcohol free: You might not notice it, but alcohol sometimes causes major spending during a vacation. Most of us can drink responsibly, but we sometimes forget this when we're in a different country and enjoying our vacation. Remember that a tipsy tourist transforms into a big spender at times. Think about this as well, we go on a holiday for a change of pace, not to keep doing the same thing in a different locale. If you're always hitting the bars while in the city, and you're still doing the same thing on your vacation, then what was the point of leaving?

• Go for a walk: Going around on public transportation can be expensive. One way to cut cost during your holiday is to walk. Get a map of the area and check areas that you can cover on foot. You'll save some cash and see more of the town. If you really need a transport, avoid taxis and go for other public transportation.

Everybody needs a break from time to time. Going on a holiday is a great way for you to recharge your batteries and learn more about yourself. Despite the sluggish economy, there's no reason why you should deprive yourself of it. With a little ingenuity and creativity, you can have that perfect cheap holiday.

0 Why Not Undertake Volunteer Work While Traveling Abroad?

If you want to get a real taste of a country and its culture on your travels while picking up new skills and meeting new people; a great way to do this is by opting to do some volunteer work.

How does it work?

There are a few schemes available online that you can sign up to in order to facilitate volunteer work. These schemes are usually free to register, and some will upgrade membership by payment of a small fee. Membership upgrade usually gives you access to more countries and/or access to more available hosts.

These schemes put you in touch with 'hosts', which can range from anything from working on an organic farm to staying with, and being part of a local family.

What type of work is expected?

The work you are expected to do can vary from helping out with baby sitting, to using and developing skills in permaculture and organic farming. You could find yourself milking cows in the Swiss Alps or helping out on an organic farm in Hungary, to wine harvesting in the South of France.

Normally, you will be offered bed and board in exchange for a few hours' work a day. The hours of work are usually agreed between you and your host beforehand. This is important so that you and your host know exactly what is expected of you before you arrive.

What skills can I pick up?

Some places will help you with language skills and you can exchange your skills for something you might like to learn or get involved in. The sort of skills you learn on these travels can even help you in your future career. There are a lot of organic farm stays available nowadays which can provide you with many eco skills, from traditional building practices to organic farming.

Travel on a budget

Because you are not paying for bed and board this can have a positive impact on your overall travel budget, with the advantage that anything you do spend will most likely not be at the grossly inflated prices other tourists are subject to.

Other benefits

Hosts may provide internet access, your own room and use of facilities which can be a real boon when traveling in the long-term. Some hosts will also take you on trips to local places of interest. Remember, because you are usually off the beaten track it is likely that anywhere you go will not be on the tourist trail in any event. You will be experiencing and seeing things that most travelers will not have access to.

Better still, on these type of schemes sometimes long and lasting friendships can develop. This can be between you and your hosts, or the people you meet on your travels.

Bon voyage!

0 How To Save For A Family Holiday

There is nothing quite like a great family holiday, but great family holidays come at a cost. You need to know how to save money for your family holiday if you ever want to be able to afford one. This article provides you with a 5 step process for saving enough money for your next trip.

Where you go on your next trip and how long you go for doesn't matter these tips can work for anyone. They are not the be all and end of of travel saving advice but they give you a good starting point and framework from which to base your savings plan on.

These steps are steps that I am taking myself to save for our next family holiday.

1. Decide How Much Money You Need

This is the first obvious step. Before you begin saving you first need to decide how much money you will need for your trip. Holidays can vary in expenses extremely. Obviously if you want to be staying in 5 star resorts having massages on a daily basis then it is going to cost you a lot more than free camping in the bush.

Decide what kind of holiday you want and do some research to find out exactly how much your holiday will cost. You now have your goal savings figure.

2. Create an Automatic Savings Plan

This tip could also be titled 'start saving'. The goal here is to 'pay yourself first' and to save money before it goes into your living expenses. My family has a certain amount of money each month that we save regardless. We then try and live off the rest.

Save the money you need first and then get creative as to how you are going to survive off the remaining amount. You will find it isn't as difficult as you first imagined.

3. Sell Any Unwanted Items

To ramp up your savings quickly sell any unwanted items lying around the house. Use eBay to sell old furniture and tech items for some extra cash.

4. Look To Create Extra Sources Of Income

Look for ways to create extra sources of income that you can save. Maybe you can get a second job, work extra hours or even start a business on the side. Make sure that every extra dollar that you earn you put towards your holiday. Don't go spending that extra income you make or you will find you are working extra hard with very little to show for it.

5. Spend Less and Save More

If you every get an opportunity to spend less then save the excess. Say you shopped at a discount supermarket and as a result you only spent $70 on the shopping when usually you would have spent $100. You can now save that $30 towards your holiday to speed up the process.

6. BONUS TIP: Have a working holiday

0 Harness the Benefits of Cheap Domestic Flights in India

Ever since airlines have been privatized, people of India are having a field day. A lot of people have shifted to flying rather than taking the train, which takes a lot of time to reach if the destination is far off. People of India also seem to have realized the numerous benefits of flying. Here are five major benefits.

Firstly, you save time and when you are on a holiday, nothing is more precious than time. Every place in India has so many things to do and see that holidays seem to melt away very quickly. Usually, travelling a distance of nearly 1100 kilometers from Chennai to Mumbai takes more than twenty four hours. If you choose Mumbai to Chennai flights, it takes around less than one and a half hours. So, you get almost four additional days to spend on your vacations.

Secondly, train journey has a major flaw with regard to frequency of trains. Direct long distance trains are not available everyday from all stations. There are a lot of weekly and bi-weekly trains which might not coincide with your vacation time. On the other hand, flights to Mumbai from Chennai are many. What is more, since there are many airline services, you are sure to find a place in one of the Mumbai to Chennai flights.

You also need to consider the fact that many hill stations, owing to their rough hilly terrains, do not have a railway station at all. A few hill stations such as Shimla do have a railway line but it is a narrow gauge and unsuitable for regular passenger trains. If you choose train journey, you have to take a train to the nearest railway station and then take a bus or taxi to the spot. You not only have to spend a lot of time, but also experience a lot of discomfort of lengthy travel, especially if you are travelling with kids. In order to compensate for the absence of a regular railway line, important hill stations have small airport facility which can accommodate small flights. The small Mumbai flights of the low cost airlines can fly into these airports.

The fourth factor is ease of travel. Indian trains are crowded all the time. Major stations in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai or other major cities are a beehive of activity. Added to the rush and crowd is the fact that trains seldom run on time. When you consider all these factors, Mumbai flights or air travel to any destination seems like god sent. Mumbai to Chennai flights are much more comfortable when compared to train travel. More importantly, flights to Mumbai are safer than train travel. The incidents of thefts which are reported on trains do not happen on aircrafts. In case your luggage in misplaced on Mumbai flights, the airline officials ensure that the luggage reaches your home safely because once you check in the luggage and it goes into the cargo box, it is the responsibility of the flight to ensure its safety.

Finally, the cost matters a lot. Low cost flights to Mumbai are sometimes cheaper than air conditioned train travel. So, on the whole, it works out well.

Mumbai to Chennai flights, flights to Mumbai and Mumbai flights offer amazing convenience of travel. So, if you are travelling to your favorite tourist destination, book a low cost air ticket. You save time, money and the journey is more convenient. Your travel agent can arrange a low cost flight for you.

0 The Hidden Gem of Colombia: Parque Tayrona and Its Turqouise Seas

If there is such thing as heaven on Earth then Parque Tayrona would qualify. Playa de Cabo San Juan in Parque Tayrona, Colombia sings and dances its beauty; with big boulder bluffs that loom over seas of playful turquoise waves. There are no cars, roads or hotels. Accommodations include camping, land hammocks, and hammocks in a hut overlooking the sea.

Travelers from all over the world can be found lounging on the shores of Cabo San Juan. The far shore is designated for swimming in the nude. You can get to Tayrona by paying $3.50 for a taxi from Santa Marta, but be prepared for a 2-hour hike down the mountain to the sea. You can also take a boat from Taganga for $22. The boat is manned by adventurous Colombianos who love to push it just a bit too far. After about a half-hour of getting some huge air on ginormous ocean swells, the boat motor seized and we had to take a little break from our way-faring fun. We, of course, eventually made it to our destination.

After securing ourselves some hammocks on hammock hut rock, Lulu and I practiced "hot" yoga and body-surfing over on the far beach. The waves are spectacular on that beach and it is least visited of them all. If you like the surf of the SoCal beaches, then you will love this shore - it has similar waves, but the water temperature is probably 10 degrees warmer. Later, we joined some French friends for dinner and an early snooze in our hammocks overlooking the sea. If you sleep at Playa San Juan, be sure to bring sweaters because the breeze is cold at night.

For a sunrise that will make you thank God that you are alive, open your eyes around 5 a.m. Other hammock dwellers will be up and rousing around at that time as well, so it won't be very hard to wake up this early. In fact, the excitement of this spectacular site is so contagious that I am not sure how one could slumber through it. This is a definite #worthit moment.

As far as eating at Playa San Juan, I saved a lot of money by sticking with the handmade ham and cheese sandwiches. They can be purchased from the lady selling out of her cooler in front of the locker room. They're one-of-a-kind yummy and only cost $1.50 a piece. The meals that are sold at the beach restaurant will run you upward of $10 a piece, and are meals of plain chicken or steak.

Have you been, or are you going to Parque Tayrona? For more information on places to be in this region of Colombia, check out Magic Sunsets and Rose-Quartz Roads - The Lovely Taganga, Colombia ( http://lillianpierson.com/Blog/taganga/ ). If you have already been, what were your experiences there?

0 Flying to the Virgin Islands on the Cheap

The US and British Virgin Islands are the star attractions of the Caribbean. The islands' awesome mix of natural wonders, friendly atmosphere, and amazing resorts, is the reason why many tourists visit them all year-round. This is also the reason why traveling to these islands can dig deep into your pockets, however, there are some ways that you can save up on your tropical paradise vacation, by simply saving on your flight.

Many travel sites will tell you that traveling off-season is the way to go, and this is true. If you don't mind traveling without the herd, you can save serious cash in your visit to the Virgin Islands. It's just a matter of supply and demand really. The more people taking in flights, the more expensive the tickets are going to be. Peak seasons in the VIs are from November through May, while the off-season starts in the summer months to October. If you think about it, going off-season is making the most out of your summer vacation anyway, so it's a two-for-one deal.

You can also save up on the travel expenses by being a little flexible with your time. Certain airlines give cheap tickets for flight schedules that take in fewer passengers, just to fill in the seats. If you can bend your schedule for these types of flights then you're going to have more cash to spend on rum and grilled lobsters when on the islands.

Hunting for budget airlines is another way to go when flying on the cheap. With the help of the internet you can compare flight rates of different airlines that service the Caribbean. Big airlines in the US and UK usually give off deals for patrons looking to save some cash, so keep on alert for those. Also consider traveling in smaller planes; airlines such as Jet Blue, Spirit and ATA, have cheaper fares by default, and not only that, they also throw in irresistible budget deals.

Any constant traveler is quick to advise to travel light when boarding an airplane, especially if your visit is brief. The reason is not to uphold the chic traveler stereotype, but to avoid paying charges that airlines require for checked bags. Limiting your stuff and other gear to a minimum saves you from the hassle, and more importantly, save you money.

Trips from New York and Chicago to the Virgin Islands take about 3 1/2-5 hours. If you're flying within these areas, make sure you eat at home before taking your flight and bring some snacks like biscuits and crisps along, in case you get hungry. In-flight food and food sold on airport outlets are very expensive, so avoid getting hungry when flying. If you're taking a flight from California though, which takes about 7-8 hours, take a sandwich with you or buy something from outlets. They may be expensive still but they cost way less than those sold inside the plane.

Your dream vacation in the Virgin Islands waits for you, and it's not even going to cost you a fortune. If you're willing to travel during the summer break, and you're okay with bending your schedule to fit that of your chosen airline, you're pretty much there already.

Greg Hunt is a wanderer who has the knack for writing. Upon a trip to the Virgin Islands, fell in love with its hum and vibration. He currently resides in St. Thomas and works as a skipper for St Thomas Boat Rental.

0 How to Bypass Retail Airfare Ticketing Prices and Get the Lowest Airfare Prices

If you're a keen traveller (or would like to be) you'll probably be all too aware of how expensive flights can be if you just pick up a telephone to book flights or visit an agency to book your travel excursion.

If you love to travel but hate paying retail prices for flights you'll be happy to know you could be buying airline tickets for 40 to 70% less.

Most people only know the "retail" way to buy airline tickets, they have no idea how and where airlines sell very cheap tickets wholesale to the travel agencies that in turn on sell them to you the retail customer.

One would assume that these very cheap flight wholesale tickets are only made available to travel agencies and websites - but this is not the case.

Airlines dont really care how or where they sell their tickets, as long as they sell the amount of seats they want to fill for their flights.

So where do they offer the majority of their seats and wholesale flights?

Consolidator fare outlets

Online website outlets like Expedia and Priceline

Independent travel agencies (who also regularly use the above resources to buy wholesale flights)

Last minute airline online deals (e.g. grabaseat)

So if travel agencies use many of the same resources that are available to us, why is it that we can't or that prices for flights can vary so much for passengers travelling on the same flight in virtually the same seats?

Well there are many factors that make the difference between very cheap flights and full paying fare flights. Savvy travelers who understand these differences will tell you that what price you pay for airfares can depend on:

The time of day you fly (the very cheapest flights are usually found at specific times of the day)

They know where airlines offer bulk deals to agencies with massive discounts offered to consolidators. The know how to find the cheapest flights on the websites that travel agents (and you too) go to buy heavily discounted wholesale flights.

They know what questions to ask at the ticket counter to get free upgrades, baggage or insurance upgrades and cheaper deals on flights

Essentially by understanding fundamentally how airline price tickets, and when and why some tickets are WAY cheaper than others (even though they are with the same airline on the same day but just booked in a slightly different manner) you can save hundreds of dollars on very cheap flights.

There are also many ways to save or upgrade on accommodation, airport parking (which is a frequently overlooked but often expensive oversight) if you know what and who to ask when you are booking flights and even when checking in or boarding your flight.

If you are only considering the price you pay for a flight but overlook the savings you can make on airport parking, hotel or shuttle costs it can pay for a good proportion of your flight.

There are many small but important considerations you can make when traveling that can not only extend your budget considerably, but also save you time, energy and comfort - especially if you know how to get free upgrades and airline sponsored vouchers for your next flight just by knowing what to ask and when to ask it.

The most relevant point to remember is that the time of day or week you fly can make the difference between paying premium and very cheap flight prices.

There are several websites you can check out today where you can find low airline prices, but don't just book any time and date. Try selecting several different times of day and if you're staying for a day or two at your destination try including a saturday stay in your trip and see how much the fares can vary.

There are so many ways you can save time and money when buying tickets, accommodation, and airport travel. If you follow the guidelines travel industry insiders like the tips covered comprehensively in airline industry insider Tony Morrison's Airfare Secrets book, can save not only money but loads of time and energy!

Mia of http://www.bestairfareprices.net/ & author or Airline Insider Secrets To Free Or Insanely Cheap Airfares shares her experiences on how to travel for less and how to find the best cheap international air tickets utilising the tools and resources airline insiders and travel agencies use to acquire wholesale air fares and travel packages. Clare shares websites and other resources where travelers can bypass retail outlets & get super low flight deals anywhere in the world.

0 Free Camping Beats Fuel Hike

We've been free camping for many years - all round Oz! It's a great way to offset the cost of fuel, especially towing a caravan on a long haul.

On one trip taking in South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland we met a grey nomad couple at Prairie Lions Free Camp in Far North Queensland. This was to be only their second free camp and being first to arrive they were mightily relieved to see our intentions to join them for the night.

Security

I was reminded of my concerns in our early days of free camping. Security was always first on my checklist although the Other Half cracked hardy. I must admit up-front that we've never had a single negative experience in terms of security. There have been three occasions when the hairs went up on the back of my neck simply because of the vibe of the place. Twice we moved on, but once the Other Half refused to budge and we got about as much sleep as parents of new-born twins. So, if for no other reason I would say trust your instincts or you're in for a long night.

I still feel more secure if at least one over-nighter joins us at a free camp. Best of all are those popular spots like Burra Gorge in South Australia and Rollingstone's Bushy Parker Park in Qld where over thirty rigs pull in and you're instantly welcomed into the grey nomad set - but get there early for a good spot!

Toilets

One of the reasons some free camps are very popular is that toilets are provided either by councils, National Parks, service or sporting clubs. To these providers I say a hearty thank you!

Power

Now you have to remember that free camping sites don't provide power - at least not usually. On this trip we found power provided at Kumbia (donation appreciated) and Wallumbilla on the Warrego Highway. Generally though you have to be independent. For some travellers this means a campfire and a torch or candle - which is okay outside the bushfire season.

Some travellers take a generator especially to keep the freezer going. If you're camping in a National Park check first if genies are okay. Another option is to harness solar power to keep a battery charged and run a 12 volt set-up.

We find that we can manage just with a deep-cycle battery to power our needs for three or four days. We run our three-way fridge on gas. On a vegetarian diet we don't have much to freeze. Then we go to a caravan park to re-charge the battery, do the laundry and have a swim in a pool. Really, your lifestyle will guide your choice of power source.

Water

You need to do your research to see if water will be available at a free campsite. Sometimes there is mains water from a tap; or a tank which may or may not contain rain water; and other times there is water for washing but not for drinking.

We always take some water with us just in case. If we have a long distance to travel we take on water at the town closest to the campsite to save carrying weight and using more fuel. Even so, we have found this risky as water is sometimes scarce in towns and not available to travellers.

Pets

One of the great advantages of free camping is that the family pet can often come too. They are usually prohibited in National Parks and some council sites.

In order to maintain this privilege please keep your dog on a lead if required; or if other people, wildlife or stock are around - and pick up their droppings.

Locating Free Camps

So, how do we know where the free camps are? We have four main sources of information. Firstly there is the grapevine - that communication network among travellers that may be word-of-mouth through a conversation overheard in a laundry. Caravan and four-wheel-drive magazines are another way to learn about free camps, and you can see photos of what to expect.

Then there are the Information Offices for each region that publish brochures on what's available in their area, and others too. These days we rely largely on a publication called Camps Australia Wide which is updated regularly and gives information on the facilities available at each campsite.

A Model Free Camp

On this trip we came across our ideal free campsite! It is at St Lawrence in Queensland. Why is it so great? It is a large area at a recreation ground divided into two halves. One half is for travellers with generators and the other half is for people who value peace and quiet. It has toilets and showers - with a coin feed for a hot shower and hot water at the basins. All is immaculately clean!

Then there is a port-a-loo dumpsite, and a clearly signed potable water outlet. There is a large covered area for rainy days, even a fenced and shaded area for children to play on the lush manicured lawn. The night we visited there were forty-three overnighters. For councils or other providers interested in setting up a free camp surely here is your model!

Free camping is the way of the future to off-set soaring costs. What better way for small and medium-sized communities to benefit economically from the travelling grey nomads. We are an expanding group and this is a great way to keep us travelling further and attract our dollars. Even the larger towns and cities are losing caravan parks due to high costs on valuable land.

For those travellers yet to try free camping rest assured there is an entry level to suit any comfort zone. A little research is all you need.

Travelling around Australia poses many problems for uninformed or inexperienced travellers. 0 Other Things to Do: Alternative Travel Activities

Tourists are often made to feel that they should seek out what is 'authentic'. This is nonsense. Nobody even seems to know what 'authentic' actually means (although I suspect that it has something to do with wearing amusing hats).

The concept of authenticity has largely been appropriated as yet another way to persuade gullible tourists to part with their hard earned cash. If you really want to get to know a country, you would be better off doing what the locals would like to do, rather than visiting pointless tourist attractions, boring museums and tedious 'cultural events'. You wouldn't spend your time at home taking photos of plaques, looking through coin collections, or applauding Morris dancing, so why should you subject yourself to their equivalents while abroad?

Here are some examples of the kind of things that you really ought to be doing:

Check Out the Supermarkets

According to guide books and dull travel articles, markets are always bustling and colourful, and abundant in beautifully handmade arts and crafts. In truth, most third world markets are mainly full of cheaply Chinese manufactured tat. You could wander around all day and still not find a single thing that you would actually want to buy. Supermarkets, on the other hand, are genuinely overflowing with thoughtfully displayed desirables, and unlike in stuffy museums, you are allowed to eat the exhibits. The food on display also has the distinct advantage of being hygienically packaged. You can wander up and down the aisles for ages, picking out interesting looking products, and sampling them in the car park. You might even find something new that you like.

Watch the Television

Far more is likely to be revealed about the true culture of a country through its television programmes than through its opera, ballet or performance art. Admittedly most of the television that you will find yourself being subjected to, is rubbish, but that doesn't mean that it can't be entertaining in small doses. Third World pop videos can be particularly amusing (some of the dance routines on Ethiopian MTV are hilarious).

Attend Local Sporting Events

I'm not normally a big fan of sport but visiting local sporting events in developing countries can be a great way to meet the locals. It really doesn't matter if the standard isn't particularly high; why should it matter to me if somebody else could run a bit faster or kick a bit harder? In fact, enthusiastic but amateurish team sports can often be far more entertaining when played with less professionalism. Just by turning up and taking an interest, you will often be genuinely welcomed into a different culture.

Pose for a Professional Photo Shoot

Having professional quality studio photos taken in developed countries can be prohibitively expensive. Why not get them done cheaply in developing countries, where the equipment is usually just as good, and the photographers just as skilled? I recently had a professional photo shoot in Ethiopia for only a few pounds. As it was cheap, even by local standards, all the local kids seemed to be queuing up in their coolest clobber, to receive glossy studio portraits. After an extensive and varied photo shoot, my likenesses were even treated to extensive and skilled post-production. Unfortunately even the skilled photography and Photoshop manipulation couldn't disguise the fact that I am now far too ugly.

Attend Local Rock Concerts

Why would you want to be subjected to po-faced renditions of 'traditional' music when you could head out to some real gigs? Although rock and metal aren't big in most of sub-Saharan Africa (with the exception of South Africa), a love of noisy rock music will quickly ingratiate you with the local youth in many parts of the developing world. Rock and Metal are huge in Latin America and most of the Far, Near and Middle East. Even in countries, such as Iran, where rock concerts have been banned in some regions, the best of contemporary rock will still manage to find its way to the true lovers of music. As a genuinely positive international force, rock music really can bring people from very different backgrounds together, with the highest of all purposes in mind - to rock!

Tom Coote has recently published his first book 'Tearing up the Silk Road: A Modern Journey from China to Istanbul, through Central Asia, Iran and the Caucasus' through Garnet Publications.

0 Staycations - A Viable Option for an Enjoyable Holiday

There is a misconception around the term "holiday". People think that it is not worth taking days off from work if they don't use them for getting away from their residential area. However, you don't always have the money or the power to travel. This does not mean that you cannot stop working for a short while and clear your head. Appeared from the combination of the verb "stay" and the noun "vacation", the term "staycation" expresses the idea of spending your holiday at home. Often disregarded, staycations can represent a viable option to traveling for several reasons:

1. They don't need a lot of preparations.

When you go abroad for your holiday, you have lots of preparations to do: to book flight tickets and accommodation in advance; to look for travel guides and plan every day's schedule; to get informed on visas and other formalities. All this hustle disappears when you decide to stay at home.

2. They represent an opportunity to reconnect with your friends and family.

Within our consumerist society, the population's financial needs have greatly increased. Therefore, people tend to work longer hours than they used to a few decades ago in order to cover for their personal as well as for their family's always growing expenses. Thus, they have less and less time to spend with their spouses, kids and friends.

3. They can be scheduled at any time of the year.

When traveling, you have to take into consideration weather conditions because you don't want to spend all your day in a hotel room with nothing to do because it is pouring outside. The range of indoor activities is much wider in your own residential area. Therefore, you can take this time off at any time of the year.

4. They are the perfect time to explore your local area.

More and more people love to travel across the Globe. They get informed on the landmarks and the things to do at their next destination. However, most of them often ignore their surrounding area's tourist attractions. A staycation is a great opportunity to explore your town's museums, art galleries and to take part in local cultural events. Just look for a good travel guide and try to discover your town from a tourist's perspective.

5. They don't cost a lot of money.

When spending your time off at home, you don't have to pay for the hotel room, you are not forced to eat out and you don't spend money on expensive entrance fees to landmarks.

6. They are not tiring.

Spending your vacation at home means not having to fly to a different corner of the world, not getting jet lagged, not having to run all day to make the most of it. Instead, you can sleep late, lie in bed with a book, watch a lot of TV, go to the pool and relax.

Therefore, staycations are a viable option to traveling and they can turn into highly enjoyable holidays if organized according to your own tastes and preferences.

0 Grand Canyon Bus Tours Can Add an Exciting Twist to Your Vegas Vacation

An excursion to the Grand Canyon is an exciting twist on any Las Vegas vacation, and bus tours give you a great way to experience this glorious region. More than five million people are drawn to the National Park annually, and many of them don't like to fly or are on a limited budget. Fortunately, these travelers can take one of the many coach trips that are available.

The fabulous Vegas Strip is the starting point for most Grand Canyon motor coach tours. Typically, they offer complimentary pickup and drop-off service for passengers staying at the Vegas Strip hotels. This is a terrific perk, because traffic can get nasty in Vegas and letting someone else drive can prevent a lot of stress. Don't worry if your hotel isn't on the Strip - you can always take a cab to the designated pickup spot.

You'll see some amazing sights during your Grand Canyon motor coach tour. The closest rim to Las Vegas is the West Rim, about 120 miles away. There you'll have wonderful views of the Colorado River, Eagle Point and Guano Point, among other highlights. The Grand Canyon Skywalk (the "Glass Bridge") is also at the West Rim and gives canyon visitors the opportunity to walk 70 feet out beyond the rim. If you want to experience this unique thrill, add a Skywalk pass to your tour package. You'll save money by including your pass in your tour instead of buying it after you arrive at the park.

Grand Canyon coaches can also take you to the South Rim, more than 275 miles from Vegas. The drive takes 5 ½ hours each way, but it's time well spent. You'll see the same views of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead that you'd see on a West Rim tour, but then you'll head off to the Kaibab Plateau of Northern Arizona. After you reach the park, you'll see Grand Canyon Village (the location of El Tovar Hotel and the Bright Angel Lodge) along with several key lookouts like Mather Point.

Personally, I think one of the best things about Grand Canyon bus tours is that they're all-inclusive - they include everything you'll need to truly enjoy the experience. In addition to the Strip hotel pickup and drop-off service I mentioned earlier, your bus tour will include lunch. If you'd rather eat at one of the West or South Rim restaurants or snack bars, the prices are reasonable.

Your tour will last all day, no matter which rim you visit. The drive from Las Vegas to the West Rim takes 2 ½ hours. To the South Rim, the drive is 5 ½ hours and you won't get back to the Strip until 9:00 p.m. Don't make any show or dinner reservations for that evening. You'll be too tired to do much even if you get back in time. Believe me - you'll sleep like a rock after this trip!

Grand Canyon coaches give you a great way to see the canyon with your friends and family. Choppers only seat 6, and airplanes 19, but you probably won't know everyone on the aircraft. Grand Canyon coaches are different - they can handle large groups of people traveling together. They're comfortable, too. These are deluxe motor coaches with reclining seats, personal climate controls, plasma televisions, food trays and an onboard restroom. If that sounds good, I'll see you on the drive from Vegas to the canyon, because bus tours are the way to go!

Grand Canyon tours are travel reviewer Ione Mahler's area of expertise. So when it involves canyon bus tours, she highly recommends this website: http://www.grandcanyonbustours.org/

0 Cities to Visit When You Travel In the Philippines

Most people visit Southeast Asia to see the beautiful tropical beaches, to lie back on white sand, bathe in crystal clear waters and generally bask in the sunshine and balmy air that is characteristic of this region during the summer. But that's not all that this part of the world has to offer. If, for example, you decide to travel Philippines, you can consider making a tour of its major cities instead of sticking to beaches and other tourist spots.

What cities are best to see when you travel Philippines? It's a good idea to go by the major island groups that make up this archipelago. You can visit one in Luzon, another in Visayas, and a third in Mindanao.

When in Luzon, the place to be is the Philippine capital - Manila. Manila is an old, historic city as well as a vibrant and modern one. If you're interested in history, the old walled city of Intramuros is sure to be an enlightening and enjoyable experience. You'll see the ruins of forts as well as sixteenth-century churches that are still in use today. The National Museum and the Cultural Center of the Philippines also provide a wealth of beautiful and culturally significant artifacts.

If nightlife is more your thing, then the bars and restaurants of Malate should prove to be a blast. You'll find a wealth of diverse experiences, including hole-in-the-wall galleries and cafes, karaoke bars, spas, and even Chinese, Japanese and Korean restos.

Cebu in the Visayas should be your next stop. It's even older than Manila, and is the home of Magellan's cross. It also features many historical attractions, as well as a vibrant art and music scene that showcases the best of the Bisaya region's artists and performers.

In Mindanao, you have to see Davao City. Davao City is the largest, and some say one of the cleanest and safest of Philippine cities. Davao City offers a more laid-back nightlife, as well as unique activities like nature-tripping, a Philippine Eagle sanctuary and Crocodile Park, and of course, the chance to sample world-famous pomelos and durian.

When you travel Philippines, be sure that you don't miss out on experiences as varied as they are fresh. Don't stick to the guidebooks, and do not be fooled by stereotypes. Instead, go out with an open mind and an adventurous spirit to encounter the best in the Pearl of the Orient.

If you want to explore Davao City, Philippines, all you need to do is to find a great tourist guide to be able to help you around. Staying here is great because of the cheap hotels in Davao City

Melissa C. Aldave is fond of traveling and adventures thus she write articles to showcase her hometown, Davao City, Philippines to invite tourists and see what in store for them.

0 Several Ways To Save Your Vacations Budget

It can be mighty difficult to arrange travel when you are hurting for money. You want to reduce your expenses as much as you can so that you are able to boost your available money for vacation amenities. Read on for more on how to do just this.

Think about driving instead of flying. Unless you get your tickets months in advance, the seat prices can cost you an arm and a leg. Also, depending on where you are going, the flight might actually take longer. Destinations less than ten driving hours away are sometimes faster to get to by road, once you factor in parking, security, flight and boarding times. Bus routes are also an economical option if your destination is near a stop.

If you are visiting another country, be aware of their currency situation. While your electronic debit and credit cards are probably going to work, the rates and fees might not make them worth it, whereas cash could be cheaper. Get your currency converted before you leave home so you do not pay excess service charges at borders. This is not always legal, but it does happen. Also, see if your home currency is just okay where you are going. Many countries use the American dollar as their currency, and other nations take American dollars because their own local currency is pegged one to one in value, like the Bahamas.

If you travel at night, ticket prices are cheaper. This applies to flights, trains and even some bus rides. Sleeping in your seat might not seem like the most comfortable way to go, but it can mean cheaper travel and spare you a hotel room.

Consider a simple jaunt to the next closest city. It has sights and activities you do not see in your everyday life, but getting there will not take a lot of time or money. You might even know a friend or family member you can stay with.

Get a bundle deal on your trip. Combination deals are increasingly popular through online websites and email offers. Take advantage of these deals when they pop up, as the window of opportunity is usually limited. You can also create your own, saving on everything from flights to hotels and car rentals.

Price bidding is still a way to save money on travel online. You can get sweet deals on both your accommodations and your travel arrangements.

You can still enjoy your romantic vacations with your loved one, although you don't have enough money to afford it. There are many ways to save your money during your trip. Come to this website to see some other affordable getaways ideas for your vacations. Have fun!

0 5 Ways to Save Money on Your Holiday

The words 'money and relaxation' often come to mind whenever we hear the word 'holiday' that we could almost imagine ourselves relaxing on a beach chair and sipping some refreshing beverage while waving goodbye to those dollar signs. So, you might ask "how can we save money on our holiday?" when in fact we would be spending our hard-earned money in order to have some fun and relaxing time away from home.

Well, you actually can!

Save money on different vacation deals
Take the time to check social networking pages or official websites of holiday accommodations, hotels, resorts, and discount websites offering holiday packages. You'll be sure to find deals which could lessen the strain on your pocket.

Booking your holiday as early as you can
Be sure to book in advance if you really want to save money on your holidays, because you'll have more choices to select from. You might even come across some discounted packages for the family.

Going in group
Going with friends on a holiday will not just be more fun and relaxing, but cost effective as well, because you would be able to do more activities and even choose a better holiday accommodation without straining your budget. So, instead of booking a hotel room with limited space, you can get one of those vacation rental homes for your group and still have space for loads of fun and exciting activities.

Make a list of things to bring
One of the worst things you could do in a holiday is leave without the essential stuff you need like food, medicine, snacks, and even clothing, because buying them while on a holiday will put additional strain on your budget. Remember to put tick boxes on your list that way you can mark them as you pack things for the holiday.

Pack lots of food
Most people don't take lots of food with them on a holiday because food tend to be bulky, but if you really want to save and still have enough space, pack a lot of them because prices of things tend to skyrocket in areas frequented by tourists and holiday makers. Choose food that are easy to prepare, but will not easily spoil.

I could probably add more to the list, but let's just scratch the basics since you still want your holiday to be fun and not a struggle with your budget.

Whether you are seeking a relaxing and carefree Byron Bay family holiday or you simply want to stop the world and spiritually recharge, Moonbeach is the perfect getaway destination. There's only 30 metres between your backdoor and the breathtaking stretch of sand and surf that leads you directly to your own slice of paradise where you can take in the unbelievable views to the Byron Bay Lighthouse or enjoy Byron Bay holiday accommodation.

0 Finding Hotel Deals: Your Complete Guide to Finding the Best Deals

How much would you expect to pay for an average hotel room, during an average vacation. For me, the number $500 pops into my head. In my experience, that seems to be what a hotel room costs for an entire vacation. Obviously, it depends on where you're going, and how long you're going to stay ther, but I think that's a reasonable estimate.

But, regardless of how you look at it you're spending a lot of money, and there are a lot of things that can go wrong. First, you don't want to pay too much. If you can avoid spending an extra $100 then that's definitely something you'll want to do.

But that's not my biggest concern. My biggest concern is that you get a good deal on a place you like. If you're going to spend hundreds of dollars on a hotel room (perhaps even thousands) then you should at least be able to stay at a plce you like. And that's what I'm going to talk about in this article. How can you find a hotel that you're going to be satisfied with, and give yourself the biggest bang for your buck.

The Mistake Most People Make

When people are looking at the quality of a hotel, they usually pay attention to the star rating. Although star rating can be a good indicator of quality, it's not the only factor.

The problem is that star ratings are assigned by organizations, and don't reflect everybody's opinion. Star ratings can also be influenced by the area around a hotel, so if you have a great hotel but not a lot around it, then it's possible that that will be shown in the star rating.

The Simple (Yet Effective) Solution

One of the things that I would recommend is paying more attention to people's reviews. When you're booking a hotel, most price comparison websites will publish reviews in addition to the star rating (you can also look at Trip Advisor). Pay attention to the comments and watch for any glaring issues.

How This Helps you Save Money

One of the things that you'll notice is that unless something is really unique about the hotel, then lower star options are more affordable then higher star options. And if you pay attention to the reviews, then you might see that the lower star options are offering just as good of an experience as the higher star options. It's also a good bet that the lower star option is a little bit cheaper.

Basically what I'm saying is that you're looking for diamonds in the rough. Diamonds in the rough are hotels that offer a great experience at a great price And isn't that what you're really after? A great experience?

Where to Find the Best Hotel Deals

The easiest way to find the best hotel deals is to look at a price comparison website. However, some are going to show different prices than others. It's actually possible to miss out on savings because you booked through one website in not another. There's a great article at WorldWidely.com about the top 3 places to book a hotel.
