The PDF Viewer cannot create new PDFs and any edits must be made through the Swing interface. That interface is supplied with a large number of "features" (the full list is here) which can be enabled to customize the interface; ideal for distributing a limited functionality viewer as part of our application. For web application use, the PDF Viewer can be embedded as an Applet and controlled via it's internal controls or by external JavaScript.
The trial version is fully functional (it displayes a "DEMO" stamp), which allows you as much time as you need to ensure that it meets your requirements. We offer free ad-hoc support during development so if you have any technical queries please do drop us a line at support@bfo.com
